Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix showed an early aptitude for athletics when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting ability at the at the time. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks following her very first tryout. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed an official contract to Adidas. In 2004, she enrolled in an institution called the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. One year later Felix earned her very first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by running 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest 200-meter world champion during the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007 beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She consistently placed at the top of the podium in all events.
